Resveratrol in Human Health and Disease: Books

Here is the list of books discussing the role of Resveratrol in Human Health and Disease. Resveratrol is produced by several plants, apparently for its antifungal properties, and it is used as a nutritional supplement by some people, because a number of beneficial health effects, such as anti-cancer, antiviral, neuroprotective, anti-aging, anti-inflammatory and life-prolonging effects have been reported in non-human species (e.g. rats).

The books are listed in reversed chronological order (the most recent books are listed first). To get more information about these books, just double-click on the titles below:

Why do you believe that "This is the book that started it all" ?
When was this book published?
What is the ISBN number for this book?
Why is this book not even mentioned in Amazon?
Please advise.

Thanks for the invitation to contribute here. Resveratrol research is ongoing and very exciting. I saw Barbara Walter's special on aging and the discussion about a pharmaceutical resveratrol product that is in development but years away. In addition to living longer and better quality of life, disease prevention and also help with existing disease has caught the interest of many folks. There are many resveratrol products on the market but one needs to do the homework of researching the quality of the product and the brand. Some have purity issues and product unwanted (digestive) side effects. Some are more potent than others, and some provide complimentary ingredients to actually make it 10X as powerful as resveratrol alone, which may be closer in form to a potential pharmaceutical product (that is my own evaluation after personal research). Most of us are interested in living longer if we can in fact feel younger!
